Past Activities:

Annular Solar Eclipse 2023

Albuquerque is one of the largest cities located in the path of annularity for the annular solar eclipse that occurred on October 14, 2023, and arguably the city most likley to have clear skies during the event. UNM's Physics and Astronomy Department and the College of Arts and Sciences teamed up to organize a viewing event and activities on UNM's Johnson Field. We did indeed have excellent weather, and welcomed thousands of visitors.
